Illuminating My Journey

About Me – Lesallan

I am Lesallan, a writer, curriculum designer, and online minister. My life is shaped by faith, storytelling, and a steady curiosity about the world. I grew up in West Allis, Wisconsin, and have lived in Aurora, Missouri, since 2000.

What I Value

Stories have always guided me. The books I read, the stories I told, and the lives I watched around me helped shape who I am. Creativity is how I connect my inner thoughts to the people I serve. I use writing and digital projects to share ideas, move hearts, and build relationships (Bostron, 2025).

My Faith

Faith is the steady center of my life. A verse that keeps me grounded is Hebrews 13:8: “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever” (New International Version, 2011). That idea helps me approach ethics and ministry with humility and consistency.

How I Learned

Early habits of worship, study, service, and reflection taught me that belief must be lived out in community. During my associate’s degree, I reached a turning point when ethics and theology began to intersect in real-life situations. Volunteer and ministry work placed me in situations where I had to think carefully and compassionately about difficult decisions. I learned to value personal stories while also testing them with Scripture, reason, and community wisdom.

What I Do Now

I am finishing the last three courses for a Bachelor of Science in Christian Leadership and hold a 4.0 GPA. My training includes curriculum design, biblical study, and academic writing. I run The Christian Thing, where I write reflections on faith and daily life, mentor learners, and create lessons that make ethical ideas practical (Bostron, 2025).

My Goals for This Course

In this Ethics class, I want to:

  • Learn ethical theories and how to apply them.
  • Improve how I analyze moral claims and write clear, respectful arguments.
  • Create practical teaching tools like case studies and activities that help others think through ethical problems.

I will participate respectfully, cite sources correctly, and bring real-life examples from ministry and my own experiences to our discussions.

Why This Matters

I believe stories and testimony invite people to reflect and change. When we combine personal stories with thoughtful ethical consideration, we are better equipped to respond to life’s challenging questions in ways that are honest and compassionate.

Closing

I share this as both a confession and an invitation. I know I still have much to learn and welcome correction and dialogue. I look forward to learning with everyone and exploring how ethical principles can inform real-life decisions.
