Midweek Devotion — February 25, 2026
The middle of the week can feel heavy and ordinary. Take a moment to pause and let this brief devotion re-center your heart and mind on what truly matters.
Scripture
Matthew 11:28–30
Come to me, all who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.
Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.
Reflection
Midweek weariness often shows up as small irritations, a shrinking patience, or a sense that the week’s demands will never end. Jesus invites the tired to come close and exchange heavy burdens for a lighter rhythm. The rest he offers is not merely sleep but a reorientation of the soul toward gentleness and trust. Let that invitation land where you are right now.
Application
- Breathe and name one burden. Pause and silently hand it over to Jesus.
- Choose one small act of rest. It could be a five-minute walk, a quiet cup of tea, or turning off notifications for an hour.
- Practice gentleness. Speak kindly to yourself and one person you meet today. Small mercies reshape a hard week.
Prayer
Lord, I bring my tiredness to you. Help me to lay down what I cannot carry and to receive your gentle strength. Teach me to walk with you through the rest of this week, to notice your presence in ordinary moments, and to reflect your kindness to others. Amen.
Blessings
May you find rest for your soul and renewed strength for the days ahead. Go gently and carry this quiet assurance into the rest of your week.
