“Be still, and know that I am God.” — Psalm 46:10 (KJV)
Friday Devotional
Be Still and Trust God
As this Friday arrives, take a deep breath and remember that God has carried you through another week. Some days may have felt productive and peaceful; others may have felt heavy, uncertain, or unfinished. Yet the Lord remains steady in every season. Psalm 46:10 invites us to stop striving, quiet our hearts, and recognize that God is already present and already at work.
Friday is a gracious pause between what has been and what is coming. It is a moment to release the burdens of the week, give thanks for God’s faithfulness, and enter the weekend with renewed trust. You do not have to carry tomorrow before it arrives. Today, rest in the assurance that the Lord knows your needs, sees your efforts, and walks beside you with unfailing love.
Reflection: What concern can you place in God’s hands today so your heart can enter the weekend with peace?
Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank You for guiding me through this week. Quiet my anxious thoughts, strengthen my faith, and help me rest in Your presence. Teach me to be still, to trust Your timing, and to walk into this weekend with gratitude, peace, and hope. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Blessings,
