How to Get by in Life Today According to the King James Bible
1. Do Not Worry, but Trust God’s Provision
Each day brings its challenges, yet Jesus reminds us to leave tomorrow’s cares in God’s hands.
“Therefore take no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof” (Matthew 6:34, KJV).
Matthew 6:25-34 (KJV): Trust that your Heavenly Father knows your needs.
Hebrews 13:5 (KJV): Be content; God has promised never to leave you nor forsake you.
2. Pray Continually and Give Thanks
Facing life’s pressures with prayer and gratitude turns worry into peace.
“Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4:6-7, KJV).
1 Thessalonians 5:17–18 (KJV): Pray without ceasing; give thanks in all circumstances.
Colossians 4:2 (KJV): Continue in prayer, watching therein with thanksgiving.
3. Cast Your Cares on the Lord
When burdens grow heavy, we are invited to hand them over to our faithful God.
“Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you” (1 Peter 5:7, KJV).
Psalm 55:22 (KJV): Cast your burden on the Lord, and He will sustain you.
Proverbs 16:3 (KJV): Commit your works unto the Lord, and your thoughts shall be established.
4. Seek First God’s Kingdom
Putting spiritual priorities above material concerns brings divine order to our days.
“But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you” (Matthew 6:33, KJV).
Proverbs 3:5-6 (KJV): Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.
Psalm 37:4 (KJV): Delight yourself in the Lord, and He will give you the desires of your heart.
5. Walk by Faith, Not by Sight
Life’s path is not always clear, yet faith illuminates each step we take.
“For we walk by faith, not by sight” (2 Corinthians 5:7, KJV).
Hebrews 11:1 (KJV): Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
Romans 8:28 (KJV): God works all things together for good to them that love Him.
6. Be Content in Every Circumstance
Paul learned to find strength and joy even when life was hard.
“I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content. I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me” (Philippians 4:11-13 KJV).
Hebrews 13:5 (KJV): God’s presence is our greatest treasure.
Psalm 23:1 (KJV): The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
7. Live One Day at a Time
Each sunrise is a gift to be embraced with hope and obedience.
“This is the day which the Lord hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it”
(Psalm 118:24, KJV).
Lamentations 3:22-23 (KJV): His mercies are new every morning.
James 4:14(KJV): Life is but a vapour—appreciate each moment as it comes.
No matter what you face today, these timeless truths from the King James Bible guide your steps, calm your heart, and anchor your soul.
