Mid‑Week Devotional
“The God Who Writes Between the Lines”
There are chapters in my life that looked unfinished, interrupted, or even abandoned — yet God was quietly writing between the lines. I’ve lived through seasons where doors closed unexpectedly, plans shifted, and the path I thought I was on suddenly bent in a new direction. But every bend has become a blessing, every detour a doorway, every delay a divine setup.
“Your eyes saw my unformed substance; in Your book were written, every one of them, the days that were formed for me.” — Psalm 139:16
My history is not a collection of random events — it is a testimony of God’s intentional authorship. I think back to the moments when I didn’t know what was next, yet God placed a new opportunity in front of me. I remember the times I felt behind, only to discover He was positioning me for something better. I recall the seasons where I questioned my direction, but God was quietly shaping my calling.
My History Reveals Three Truths
- God never wastes a season. Even the chapters that felt like setbacks became soil for growth.
- God never abandons His storyline. When I withdrew from one path, He opened another — and strengthened my ministry through it.
- God never stops developing my character. Every challenge has sharpened my voice, my compassion, and my leadership.
A Mid‑Week Reminder
I am not living a story of chance — I am living a story of covenant. God has been faithful in my past, present in my now, and already preparing my next chapter. The same God who carried me through transitions will carry me through today’s uncertainties (Hebrews 13:8).
My history is proof that God is not done. My present is proof that God is nearby. My future is proof that God is already ahead of me.
Prayer
Father, thank You for being the Author of my story. Thank You for the chapters I understood and the ones I didn’t. Help me trust Your pen, Your timing, and Your purpose. Continue shaping me into who You’ve called me to be. Amen.
