From Learning to Living: A Prayer for the Nations

Gracious Father, as we move from learning to living, we thank you for these weeks of study and for how you have widened our vision of your global church. You have blessed us with sisters and brothers across Africa, Asia, Latin America, and every diaspora whose faith, witness, and songs reveal the fullness of Christ’s body. Forgive us for centering ourselves, assuming control, or confusing comfort with faithfulness. May we cultivate humility to listen to the Global South, wisdom to learn from their stories, and courage to receive their gifts.

Holy Spirit, strengthen the persecuted and the poor with your steadfast hope; teach us to stand with them, to bear one another’s burdens, and to walk in solidarity through suffering. Give us discernment to practice justice and mercy, to steward our resources wisely, and to cultivate mutual hospitality, sending and receiving with joy. Make our communities places where many languages and stories belong at the same table and where every gift is recognized for the common good.

Lord Jesus, send us as both givers and receivers—quick to repent, eager to encourage, faithful in suffering, and resilient in love. Empower our preaching, teaching, digital spaces, and quiet acts of service so that your gospel is seen as well as heard. Knit us together in unity without sameness, in truth without harshness, and in holiness without pride.

We entrust our plans, partnerships, and future steps to your care. Fill us with Spirit empowerment, protect those who suffer for your name, and let our small obedience join your great mission until your kingdom comes in every neighborhood and to the ends of the earth. In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Blessings,
